Singapore, SA Residence Residential

Singapore, SA Residence

A warm welcome: this is the principle behind SA Residence in Singapore.

A project designed to recalibrate the spaces and renovate the finishes and architectural styles, completed in 2021, has given this three-storey villa spanning over 1900 sqm. a brighter and more convivial look.

The ground floor is conceived as a large covered volume, seamlessly at one with the outside, onto which it overlooks, amplifying the spatial sensation of the interior areas. A series of living, dining, lounge and leisure areas running one after the other - separated by flexible sliding and modular walls capable of easily and instantly adapting to meet the ever-changing needs of daily life - showcase Minotti's furnishing pieces.

The heart of the house is the powerful double-volume formal living area located in the basement: a double-height reception space, visible from the dining room, in which the lounge is punctuated by elements for different moments of conviviality: the more informal and large Alexander corner seating system, the more formal Jacques sofa, both designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, and the reading corner with the Angie armchairs by GamFratesi. Featuring a glass and bronze chandelier specially customised for this space, perimeter panelling in bronze and dark wood and large glass partitions containing a striking Amazonian aquarium, the furnishing pieces are set out facing the centre, like a circular gallery of stalls around which the show to be enjoyed unfolds.

The eye then rises to the upper level where the dining room, furnished with a marble table and the Angie seats by GamFratesi, allows a view of the landscape outside.

The conversation lounge winds around the Jacob coffee table, a support point for the orderly Freeman Tailor sofa, the protagonist of the space, flanked by the architectural Reeves armchairs (all designed by Rodolfo Dordoni).

For leisurely moments featuring books and giant screens, on the other hand, the combination of the Lawson sofa with the Catlin coffee table, both designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, makes the room dynamic and flexible, relaxing but also always ready for entertaining moments with friends.

Each of these spaces has in fact been conceived as the setting for a theatrical act, a place ready to welcome the spectacle of everyday life in a succession of environments that reveal themselves to the eyes of the guest from the very first glance.

The garden is the backdrop for all the spaces on the ground floor, but also the horizon for all the rooms in the night area spanning the first floor. Pervaded by natural light, the rooms expand well beyond their nocturnal function to become perfect places for reading and solitary relaxation thanks to the combination of the Colette armchairs, the Yang bench and the classic Lawrence Bed by Rodolfo Dordoni, accompanied by the Lou nightstands by Christophe Delcourt.

The contrast and continuous mediation between the elusiveness of the natural light and the materiality of the architectural and furnishing elements create a balance of peace and tranquillity that makes this villa the perfect place to spend time with family, where the front door is always open and every space can easily be enjoyed in good company.
