Located in the prestigious residential neighbourhood of Piney Point in Houston, Texas, this spacious home was completely redesigned by Nina Magon, Creative Director and Founder of the Houston-based interior design and architecture firm Contour Interior Design, taking inspiration from a modern European aesthetic.
The studio collaborated with an expert in Vastu Shastra, a traditional Indian system of architecture, who was involved in every aspect of the redesign process with the aim of improving the flow of energy inside the house.
The interior design project demonstrates an extremely sophisticated take on interiors, featuring walls and ceilings in brilliant white and the clever use of diverse materials, such as the elegant, dark Chevron parquet, the stunning stone fireplace in the living space, and the exquisite white stucco in the large family area. A refined selection of contemporary artworks further enriches the atmosphere and bestows character on the spaces.
The home, arranged over a floor area of over 1,000 square metres, houses numerous pieces of furniture from the Minotti collection, intended to highlight the uniqueness of this residential project.
The living space, lit by floor-to-ceiling windows, features the Seymour seating system with its soft, enveloping volumes, combined with a Tape armchair upholstered in light grey leather and fabric and two large Damier ottomans, all accompanied by the Benson, Duchamp Bronze and Noor coffee tables.
The family room is furnished with a comprehensive arrangement of the Freeman seating system, a true invitation to relax, with a focus on maximum comfort. The space is completed with two Leslie armchairs, coffee tables from the Calder Bronze, Jacob, Aeron, Duchamp Bronze and Brisley collections and the Morrison system of containers, with doors and drawers in an elegant glossy lacquered finish in Granito colour.
For the master bedroom it was chosen the Yang Bed, featuring a headboard embellished with large soft padding and a practical headrest, ideal for reading. The Morrison nightstand and the Riley coffee table match the youthful, contemporary feel of the bed.
