Diseñada por el arquitecto brasileño Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, la serie de elementos de mobiliario Superquadra toma su nombre del proyecto urbanístico piloto de Lúcio Costa y Oscar Niemeyer, concebido en 1956 para un barrio residencial de Brasilia y articulado en módulos habitables básicos.
Los volúmenes cuadrados de los famosos edificios suspendidos sobre esbeltos pilotis se reinterpretan para caracterizar los muebles de almacenamiento, bancos, mesas de centro, consolas y mesas de la familia Superquadra.
La impronta arquitectónica que caracteriza los volúmenes aéreos de los muebles de almacenamiento Superquadra se traduce en la esencialidad gráfica de la serie de mesas de centro, bancos y consolas Superquadra.
Los elementos se apoyan en una base con patas de aluminio pintado de color Brandy pulido que sobresalen, lo que confiere a los productos una gran ligereza estética.
Su sobrio diseño se ve animado por una mezcla de materiales de calidad - mármol, madera, tela y cuero - utilizados para los tableros de las mesas y las bases de los asientos, interpretados en clave matérica moderna.
Con Superquadra, Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 reafirma la identidad de un estilo que tiene sus raíces en los años 50, pero que se expresa con características a medio camino entre el pasado y el presente.
Los bancos, caracterizados por la presencia de tapizados en diferentes alturas, están disponibles en dos alturas de 34 cm y 42 cm y en cuatro variantes: con tapicería totalmente en tela o piel (126x128 cm), con asiento combinado con un tablero en madera de palisandro Santos teñido Dark Brown (126x128 cm), con asiento combinado con un tablero en mármol Calacatta o Sahara Noir (182x58 cm) o con dos tableros, en madera y mármol Calacatta o en madera y mármol Sahara Noir (182x102 cm).
Las mesas de centro, de forma cuadrada y rectangular, están disponibles en dos alturas y, además de los tableros de mármol Calacatta y mármol Sahara Noir con acabado lacado de poliéster mate, ambos realizados mediante procesos de folding, están disponibles en palisandro Santos teñido Dark Brown con acabado lacado de poliéster mate de una pieza o con tablero de listones en nogal Canaletto teñido Dark Brown. Los accesorios de decoración se caracterizan por una marcada materialidad, claramente visible en las versiones con combinaciones de mármoles y maderas, distinguiendo la estética del tablero.
Diseñadas para ser colocadas cerca de sofás y sillas, en un elegante juego de superposiciones, incluso con una consola, las mesas de centro Superquadra transmiten una fuerte versatilidad compositiva.
