El nuevo sistema de Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27 toma forma a partir de una base suspendida, una línea sólida y delgada revestida de piel, tejido o ambos, sobre la que descansa un generoso acolchado volumétrico.
Perfectamente coherente con la filosofía de diseño de Marcio Kogan, el sistema de asientos modulares Horizonte nace de una clara visión arquitectónica: una línea rigurosa, elevada siete centímetros del suelo gracias a un zócalo metálico pintado en negro mate, que confiere al sofá una especial sensación de estar suspendido en el aire.
Una plataforma sobre la que se colocan los elementos tapizados - asientos, respaldos y reposabrazos - todos ellos concebidos como grandes cojines de proporciones atrevidas y fuerte personalidad.
No son solo las dimensiones las que caracterizan a estos módulos, sino también su inusitada suavidad, capaz de mantener una estética formal precisa, aun siendo tan cómodo y mullido. De hecho, el confort está garantizado por una tecnología innovadora que utiliza muelles ensacados insertados en poliuretanos de densidad variable que permiten que el asiento recuerde las formas y vuelva a su posición original, moldeándose en función del ocupante.
La base sobre la que descansan los volúmenes tapizados se realiza a través de una hábil combinación de materiales: enteramente en piel o tejido en una original mezcla de ambos para crear una estética aún más refinada y de gran valor.
En la versión con tejido, las dos tiras se acoplan mediante una cremallera, disimulada por una costura de cordón, concebida como un motivo estético que al mismo tiempo permite una retirada rápida y práctica. Por otra parte, con la base totalmente revestida de piel, el revestimiento es solapado: refinada e inspirada en el mundo de la alta costura, esta técnica consiste en coser las tiras de cuero doblando los bordes.
El aspecto aparentemente sencillo de Horizonte da lugar a un sofisticado lenguaje que puede declinarse infinitamente mediante la combinación de módulos, elementos inclinados y mesas integradas: una narración que, en su conjunto, podría continuar sin soluciones de continuidad.
En algunos elementos, la base que soporta la tapicería sobresale del cojín del asiento para alojar un tablero disponible en diferentes tamaños y configuraciones. Al igual que los puntos en gramática, el módulo se inserta entre los asientos, enriquecido por una encimera fijada a la base del sofá: la continuidad formal está asegurada y la ruptura no es más que un tablero multifuncional en nogal canaletto teñido Dark Brown, fresno lacado Regaliz, mármol Calacatta, Gris Orobico o Negro Marquina bruñido mate y granito Belvedere cepillado.
Además del tablero que se intercala entre los cojines, la familia Horizonte incluye también mesas de centro y una mesa auxiliar. Este último ha sido diseñado en perfecta continuidad estética con el sistema de asientos Horizonte, del que toma tanto el detalle de la base metálica pintada en negro mate como el del grosor de la encimera: una junta horizontal grabada en la moldura de madera maciza se hace eco, de hecho, del mismo concepto de geometría utilizado para la base.
Las mesas de centro también reflejan el mismo lenguaje al presentar un soporte de suelo en metal pintado en Bronce pulido y tableros en nogal Canaletto teñido Dark Brown o en fresno color Regaliz. Los diferentes tamaños y alturas de las mesas permiten un juego de superposiciones que dinamiza la horizontalidad de toda la familia.
