Twiggy

Designed by Rodolfo Dordoni, Twiggy is the family of seats that stands out for its ability to revolutionise living spaces with an unprecedented ideal of timeless beauty.

Twiggy presents itself with different elements, always distinguished by Minotti's sophisticated sartorial taste. The family originated as a single armchair in the Small, Large and Deep versions, with and without armrests, but embellished with stitching that reveals the depth of the brand's manufacturing know-how combined with its great ability to make even the most sculptural seats extremely comfortable.

In addition to the armchair, the range includes benches, couches, a chaise-longue and a dormeuse, which can be used as elegant individual elements to be freely inserted into the living room, creating a modular system that can be modelled as desired with the greatest of ease.
A new aggregative language is born: free from schemes and preconfigurations, capable of adapting to needs in continuous evolution. The Twiggy seating elements have rigorous geometric shapes but are extremely comfortable and enveloping, covered in leather, nubuck or fabric and embellished with refined stitching.

The curved, dynamic design of the base, made of brushed semi-polished aluminium or aluminium with a Black Coffee colour polished varnish, is one of the details that contribute to making these seats unique and destined to redefine the concept of style.

A new aggregative language is born: free from schemes and preconfigurations, capable of adapting to needs in continuous evolution.

Focus On

The Deep version of the armchair, with or without armrest, can be fitted with the 66 cm “Low” backrest or the 76 cm “High” backrest. The armchair with armrest is available in the version with backrest and armrest at the same height, or in the “High Mix” version, with 76 cm backrest and 66 cm armrest. Another compositional option which adds to the range of Twiggy’s possible configurations and uses.

Structure
In plywood. The seat structure is made of many layers of variable-density high resilience polyurethane foam. The seat structure is encased in breathable heat-bonded quilted fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric for added softness. Inside the quilt is a bag padded with siliconised microfibre - with low coefficient of friction - which completely conforms to the structure; this very soft fluffy padding is obtained from certified 100% recycled PET. All of the materials employed in manufacturing the quilting are hypoallergenic. The armrest and backrest structures are covered in high-resilience, variable-density polyurethane foam, then encased in breathable heat-bonded polyester quilted fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. Embroidered quilting on the upholstery joins the thick heat-bonded fibre, encased in white cotton fabric, to the upholstery.
Cushion Plus
Backrest cushion with headrest integrated into the cushion upholstery. The headrest cushion can also be used as a lumbar cushion. Backrest cushion made of quilted breathable heat-bonded fibre laminated to white hypoallergenic cotton fabric with siliconised microfibre padding – with low coefficient of friction - which completely conforms to the structure. This very soft fluffy padding is obtained from certified 100% recycled PET. All of the materials employed in manufacturing the quilting are hypoallergenic. Headrest/lumbar cushion in variable-density, high-resilience polyurethane foam and then covered with breathable, heat-bonded fibre laminated to hypoallergenic white cotton fabric. Upholstery for the headrest/lumbar cushion is made with the characteristic quilting on all the elements in the seating system.
Covers
Structure and cushion upholstery, in fabric or leather, is completely removable.
Bases
Semi-curved blades in heavy-duty aluminium, 8 mm thick, brushed semi-polished with textured effect or varnished polished anti-fingerprint, Black Coffee colour. Protective polyethylene glides (soft rubber, scratch-proof, oil-free, non-staining) pewter or black coffee colour, to match the finish on the bases.

The finish “brushed semi-polished with textured effect”, developed by Minotti Studio, is achieved through an exclusive high-quality hand-finishing process that emphasizes the brushed aluminium texture, including possible natural nuances that make each piece unique.
